About the India Gospel Team Mission

Our Vision

Our vision is to raise up a generation of true worshipers in India.

Our Mission

Our mission is to train and equip national leaders and reach unreached people groups in India through leadership training, conferences, and village outreach.

Equipping India’s Believers

The 1.2 billion people in India are a field ripe for a harvest of historical proportion and willing to embrace change.  God is at work in this nation and raising up dynamic leaders to carry the message of hope and love throughout the nation. India Gospel Team Mission provides essential training and resources to these local leaders so they can reach the full potential of their life.

Bro. Abraham Mathew leads this indigenous work. Abraham came to the United States in 1977, earned his undergraduate degree from Anderson University, his graduate degree in business administration from University of North Texas and CPA certification in Texas. He has been employed as Assistant Vice President of Finance at UT Southwestern Medical Center for the past 36 years. Through life transforming experience in worship the Lord led Abraham back to India with a mission to develop national leaders that are able to fulfill the great commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Southern Asia Leadership Institute (SALI) provides leadership training for committed young people. Our vision is to train and develop the next generation of leaders with integrity and character and with a heart for worshiping God for who He is. The Leadership Institute began in 2013 and is established in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. We offer a three year degree program in theological studies, a one-year diploma program in missions and continuing education for those who are already in leadership.

Our statement of Faith is based on solid, mainline-Christian tradition. We fully appreciate the importance of accountability to our supporters and our God as we work to fulfill this vision.
